Fjord wool jacket

FJORD is sewn in a fairly thin and stretchy material in 100% merino wool. The jacket is sewn in the same fabric as the popular wool waistcoat ‘Stasch’. Unisex model. Although it does not have windproof fabric, it insulates incredibly well. FJORD is designed specifically for outdoor enthusiasts. The jacket is tailored over the shoulders with an incredibly good fit. It has raglan sleeves, an extended back, a high collar lined with soft, knitted merino wool, long sleeves with thumb holes, side zip pockets, chest pockets with vertical zips, and a hunting radio antenna attachment. The FJORD wool jacket is the perfect choice when it's a little chilly, inside or out - when you need a not too thick and warm midlayer under your shell jacket or training vest - or when the thick wool jackets (Grimsbu, Telemark, Frida) are too much to wear. About washing and cleaning FJORD jackets and other Canelana wool products: In many cases, shaking and airing in fresh air for a couple of hours can be enough, wool is bacteriostatic and dirt usually does not penetrate the wool fibres, but settles on the outside. If you want to wash, we recommend machine washing wool programme 30 degrees and wool detergent. Machine programmes are often more gentle than hand washing as the temperature is precisely regulated. Machine washing also rinses out the rinse water with residual soap and dirt, and spinning allows the woollen fabric to dry faster. Wet woollen fabric can provide good conditions for bacterial growth through the residual water, even though wool is bacteriostatic.
