Wool insulates like a thermos: Wool fibres are made up of 80% air, and it's exactly that still, trapped air that gives wool its remarkable insulating power – the same principle as a thermos. Our wool rugs in 100% merino wool naturally regulate temperature and suit horses in the stable, during transport and at rest.

Wool keeps warming even when wet: Wool can absorb up to 30% of its own weight in moisture without losing its insulating ability. That means the wool rug keeps the horse warm even when wet, and works perfectly as a drying rug after training or bathing.

Wool doesn't need washing – just airing: Wool is naturally antibacterial. Dirt usually doesn't penetrate the fibres but settles on the surface, and the air pockets inside the wool fibres carry dirt, odour and moisture out of the material on their own. A couple of hours in fresh air is usually all it needs.
