HUNTER EXTREME FEMALE is a protective hunting jacket for females, developed in collaboration with Wanja Andersen (Mosjøen). The jacket is sewn in softshell, with Velcro closure along the entire back to ensure a good fit. Cuffs around the opening for the legs. The jacket provides good mobility, is comfortable to wear and fits perfectly with the female hole at the back. Currently produced in size. M, which fits a medium-sized English setter female. The model in the pictures (Lizz) weighs 17-18 kg. Testing of HUNTER EXTREME FEMALE in different conditions (Wanja Andersen) Conclusion On the English setter, it works great in all conditions. This is supposed to be a jacket that keeps them warm and free from frostbite in the cold and especially in heavy conditions with lots of loose snow. That's where there's a problem, especially with short-haired dogs such as pointers. It's not long before snow creeps in because the fur doesn't help to stop the snow. The right size and snow cuffs are important here. But with a good fit over the thighs at the back and front, like this one for Lizz (medium English setter female, 17-18 kg), medium was the perfect size. You're not supposed to use this jacket in temperatures around and above 0, as it will be too warm for the dog to work in, and snow will stick to it. Day 1. Minus 20 degrees centigrade, some loose snow and some hard ground. Works really well, I don't see any sign of her freezing, nor that snow is sticking anywhere, or that it's getting into any places in the jacket. Day 2. Minus 13 degrees centigrade, lots of wind. Out for 3 hours in occasional swimming conditions. She doesn't seem to be affected by the cold here either when she's out searching (many effective freezing temperatures this day). No snow anywhere, and the snow does not stick even with lots of loose snow. Perfect. Day 3. Minus 9 degrees, a bit of wind and lots of loose snow, and swim lead all the time in drop. Out for 2.5 hours. Again, no snow sticks to, or gets into, the jacket. Really good.
