The coat is measured from the tightening at the neck to the middle of the incision at the back. The tightening at the neck is approximately between the dog's shoulder blades, slightly in front if you tighten the coat at the neck, and the tail root should be approximately in the middle of the incision so that it is long enough to lie down over the hips. Therefore, measure the dog between the lines in the illustration above.
