Canelana polar bear musher mittens

Mittens for the coldest challenges, e.g. mushing or snowmobiling.

Review from musher Joar Leifseth Ulsom (Norwegian musher living in Alaska) after Iditarod 2017: "The mittens deserve much praise. Have never been so warm on my hands even when it was -46C. They were great." (Translated from Norwegian)

The outer layer is soft-shell with membrane, which makes it windproof, water-resistant, and breathable. The mittens are lined with very thick merino wool. The lining is thick in the palms and even thicker on the back of the hands. This is to provide the best possible grip, while also heating the back of the hand, which often gets coldest. The mittens are wide and stiff around the openings so that it is easy to tuck in jacket sleeves. There is a bendable metal wire in the opening (similar to the ones found in the hoods of some jackets) that can be pressed together to seal the opening of the mittens (without having to fumble with tightening a cord). Leather-reinforced palms. Cord loop near the thumb. Comes in 4 sizes: XS, S, M, and L. Black. Outside measures below.
